James Griseto, aka “Grandpa”, on Life at The Reserve of Geneva

“I can stay here until my death. I have everything I need: many friendships, my own apartment, good food, friendly staff, and people who look out for me. The Reserve of Geneva is my family.”

James moved to the Reserve of Geneva in February of 2020 after living at another community, because The Reserve was smaller and friendlier. It has lived up to his expectations and more. James appreciates the freedom, activities, meals, and the fact that everyone is so kind and genuinely cares—residents and staff alike. The Reserve’s location in the village of Geneva has everything he needs and makes it easy to get anywhere. James is so glad he made The Reserve his home.

Sue M. and Judy G. Enjoying Life at The Reserve of Geneva

“By trading in the responsibility and drudgery of home ownership for a smaller yet more efficient home you gain more leisure time to enjoy the companionship and activities The Reserve of Geneva offers.” — Sue M.

“My husband and I chose The Reserve due to its proximity to family as well as its location—close to everything we need:  shopping, restaurants, medical offices and a hospital, all within a few minute’s drive. Yet we are tucked away in a boutique-like hotel setting in a nice neighborhood.” –Judy G.

Sue’s Story

Sue moved to The Reserve in 2016. The boutique size allows residents to get to know one another and the family atmosphere makes it comfortable to adjust to community living. In her five years, Sue has experienced many new friendships and a wonderful spirit of cooperation and willingness among residents to help one another. Sue finds the staff to always be friendly, helpful and willing to assist with any of her needs.

One of Sue’s favorite perks is the transportation that is provided for grocery shopping and doctors appointment. Sue enjoys the exercise room, library, craft room and game room. She also enjoys the cozy coffee shop and large formal dining room for parties. Sue is a member of the board and committed to enhancing life for current and future residents of The Reserve.

Judy’s Story

According to Judy, unexpected joy came soon after she and her husband move to the Reserve in 2018. They were overwhelmed by the friendliness and helpful spirit of the residents. In just a few short years, Judy says they have become like extended family whom she looks forward to seeing at weekday continental breakfasts.

Judy joined the board to get involved at the community and to learn about a not-for-profit board function. Judy has learned a great deal and she has been a part of the transformation of the community to a new rental option from buy-in as well as a change over to new management company, Certus Living.
